Team Director, Development & High Performance Team Coach

Coach Boris has been a thought leader in youth development within the sport of triathlon for over a decade. He served as the head coach for the only youth triathlon club in Hawaii. During his time as the head coach; he took 10 young athletes to the USA Triathlon National Championship in 2007 in which they finished third in the team competition with two athletes finishing second in the nation.

He is passionate about coaching, mentoring and developing athletes of all ages, elite, age group adults and youth and juniors. His involvement with youth is readily evident as he has developed a youth triathlon academy in Round Rock and continues to write articles for USA Triathlon on the issue of youth development. In addition, Coach Boris served as the Chairman for the South Midwest Region of USA Triathlon.

He is certified as a USA Triathlon Level II Elite Coach, one of only six coaches in the country that carries the International Triathlon Union Level II Competitive Coaching certification. In addition, he carries multiple other coaching certifications offered by other National Governing Bodies.

Coach Boris is the director and owner of T3Multisports, LLC a triathlon coaching and development company; which includes T3Multisports Youth Triathlon Academy and Elite Junior Cycling in Round Rock, Texas.  He is also a leadership professional with over 26 years of experience leading people in the most demanding of circumstances.  He retired from the military as a Lieutenant Colonel with over 26 years of service. He has commanded soldiers from the platoon to battalion level.  He has been recognized for his dynamic leadership and was selected by the Army and the University of Texas at Austin to serve as the Department Chair, Military Science and the Commander of the Senior Army Reserve Officer Training Corps.

Triathlon is a dynamic sport; he believes you have to approach it from a long-term perspective. While triathlon consists of three sports, it cannot be viewed as three separate events; it is the sum total that makes it a unique sport. As an USA Triathlon certified coach, his philosophy is simple; triathlon is a life long health and fitness activity, it’s a life sport. He wants to introduce the sport of triathlon to youth and beginning juniors as a great way to get physically fit for a lifetime. Age appropriate training is key to ensuring young triathletes develop properly and compete at their best. His goals as the Owner and Director of T3Multisports is to enhance youth and juniors’ performance through proper technique, training and recovery. The end result is achieving a feeling of success and accomplishment throughout the sport of triathlon. He is confident that he will be able to help them set realistic and achievable goals while making their training exciting, fun rewarding but most importantly, Safe!
